For many years I have more and sometimes less regularly enjoyed going to yoga classes. I never had a home practice and, frankly, the idea of practicing on my own at home hadn’t even crossed my mind. I was used to practicing under the guidance of a teacher, not realising what a beautiful way of deepening my experience a home practice could be.
Two years ago I wanted to try to integrate yoga more into my life and to learn more about it. I bought a yoga mat and I stumbled upon Sarah Avant Stover’s wonderful book called ‘The Way of the Happy Woman’. Thank you very much for re-posting my article! How is your practice going with your new yoga dvd that you mentioned in your previous article?
It is a really good practice and very doable, and shows 3 levels of difficulty simultaneously. This is a great feature because it lets me adapt day by day and position by position to my ability level. (It’s the OHSU yoga pilates DVD for fibromyalgia). Unfortunately things have been a little hectic so I haven’t incorporated it into my daily routine yet but hope to in August when things calm down. Great post and welcome to WordPress!!
